Megan Dawkins, M.A. Counseling
I have spent many years in ministry through mission work, kids ministry, and high school ministry. My favorite part about working in ministry was always the opportunities I got to sit down with someone one-on-one and hear their stories. When I began my own therapy journey, I not only found healing but also discovered a new desire to become a counselor myself. I went on to earn a master’s degree in counseling through the Townsend Institute. I feel truly honored to do the work I love: supporting individuals as they make sense of their stories and move toward healing and hope.
My approach has been shaped by Chip Dodd’s Spiritual Root System(™), Townsend Institutes Character Structure Development, Attachment Theory, and Narrative Therapy. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I strive to explore the deeper roots—understanding where pain and patterns originate. My hope is that, through this deeper work, clients will begin to see their stories more clearly and find redemption even in the wounds they’ve experienced in life.
When I’m not counseling, you’ll likely find me soaking up time with my husband and son, crocheting, hiking, or spending time in community.
