Lizzie Pandolfino, Master’s Level Intern

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and consider this work a deeply meaningful second career. I grew up outside of Washington, DC in an environment that emphasized high performance, which shaped my understanding of pressure, expectations, and the ways stress and expectations can impact both individuals and relationships. Before entering the counseling field, I spent several years in event planning and later stayed home with my young children. My own experience in counseling was life changing and transformed my relationship with my husband as well as how I show up as a mother. Through that process, I discovered a calling to support others on their own paths toward freedom, healing, and growth.

I am passionate about identifying root issues rather than focusing solely on symptoms, which I view as important signals that something deeper may be going on. While I believe in working through pain with care and intention, I also value forward movement by helping clients develop practical skills and solutions to navigate everyday stressors. I am especially drawn to working with individuals and couples impacted by trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse and addiction, and marital crisis. Above all, safety is central to my work. I strive to create a counseling space that feels secure, compassionate, and free from shame. I believe shame keeps people stuck in unhelpful patterns, and I am committed to helping clients release shame so they can experience greater freedom, connection, and lasting change.

When I am not in the office I love playing basketball with my daughters, pickleball with friends, and working on home projects with my husband.
